Ellie Goulding sparks anger with controversial Instagram snap
Ellie Goulding left a lot of her fans with a bitter taste in their mouths after she shared a photo on her Instagram account.
The singer shared a glimpse of herself dressed in a Native American-style costume, something that has caused great debate over the last few years.
Ellie’s followers instantly called her out on the costume, calling it “deeply offensive” and “disappointing”.
The singer promptly removed the photo from her Instagram feed following the backlash, but has not commented on it since.
Many people have taken to Twitter to defend Ellie, saying that her costume was in no way racist:
