Emerald Park details Tír Na nÓg launch as park reopens for 2024
Emerald Park is preparing for its reopening, with an exciting new addition on the horizon!
The park’s General Manager, Charles Coyle, has confirmed that Tír Na nÓg will open its gates this May, with an official opening date to be revealed next month.
With a substantial investment of €22 million, the 6.5 acre land is a first for Emerald Park, located in Ashbourne, Co. Meath. Along with the park’s two main rollercoasters, Tír na nÓg will also introduce a third classic theme park attraction, known as a Waveswinger. New food outlets, retail spaces, and a mythical entrance will also be delighting visitors from this May.
Speaking about the update, Charles Coyle stated: “This milestone not only signifies our dedication to creating fully themed and immersive experiences but also represents the culmination of years of hard work and innovation. As we continue to push the boundaries of imagination, we’re looking forward to seeing our guests embark on an unforgettable adventure this year.”
The update on Tír Na nÓg comes as Emerald Park prepares for its reopening on Saturday, March 23. To mark the exciting start to the 2024 season, guests can enjoy ‘Dino Roar’, an interactive dinosaur meet and greet event!
From March 23 to March 29, families are invited to embark on an exciting journey back to Jurassic times, with a range of dino-themed activities to entertain visitors of all ages.
Emerald Park truly has something for everyone – younger adventurers can enjoy the ‘Junior Zone’ with Crazy Bus, Balloon Chase, and the Ladybird Loop amongst the attractions, while older kids and adults can seek their next adrenaline rush with the Cú Chúlainn Coaster or the Viking Voyage. You can also visit the Emerald Park Zoo, which is home to more than 250 animals such as Amur Tigers, Amur Leopards, Ring-Tailed Lemurs, and a fascinating array of birds of prey.
