Fab! Dubai Duty Free’s Most Stylish Lady is a DEAD ringer for K-Middy

by

It doesn’t get more glam than the races, does it really? Where else can we get dressed up to the nines, wear a mad hat and quaff Prosecco – and all before we’ve even had our lunch?

So of course we had to hotfoot it to the Curragh over the weekend for a gawk at the schtyle at the Dubai Duty Free Derby. It might have been overcast, but that didn’t stop us clocking the uh-mazing fashion from behind our looks-like-Céline-but-are-actually-Penneys shades.

Former S Clubber and all round beaut Rachel Stevens (teeny in real life, absolutely teeny) was on hand on the day to pick the Most Stylish Lady, along with Breeda McLoughlin representing Dubai Duty Free, James Amos representing Boodles, IMAGE Magazine’s Editor-In-Chief Melanie Morris and Irish Independent Fashion Editor, Bairbre Power – and we have to say we were well on board with their choice.

Winner Eva Hayes Morrissey from Limerick rocked a VERY similar look to Kate Midleton at Prince George’s christening in a cream dress from Cork boutique Phoenix V, shoes by Carvela and a stunning hat bedecked with cream blooms and birdcage veil by Irish milliner Carol Kennelly.

Oh, and did we mention this woman gave birth 10 WEEKS AGO?

And while we think she’s a worthy winner, we’re beyond jeal at the prize (brace yourselves). Eva won a luxury trip to Dubai to spend five nights at 5-star hotel The Jumeirah Creekside plus a grand spending money; a Boodles diamond pendant from their “Roulette” collection; an overnight stay at the swanky Marker Hotel in Dublin; a luxury Ladurée hamper which includes Afternoon Tea for two at their flagship store and a Jennifer Wrynne Boutique voucher worth €500.

Diamonds and Dubai? Yep, we’re so happy for her! *goes into a corner to cry at our empty lives*

We were also totally lusting over Rachel’s incredible monochrome Self Portrait maxi, which of course she had to accessorize with the shoe of dreams, the Valentino Rockstud.

Yes, yes, ‘tis far from Rockstuds we were reared, but it doesn’t stop us dreaming right?
