Feed me! 5 (nightmare) situations that make you HANGRY
Hangry – we’ve all been there right? That feeling that if we don’t have something to eat, and soon, we might not be responsible for our actions.
Of course one of the main places we’re in danger of a bout of hangriness is when we’re at home, waiting to be fed.
Note to self: always have some anti-hangry snacks to hand, just in case.
1. When your housemate makes an AMAZING dinner
All you’ve managed to cobble together is an unappetising salad, while your smug housemate is tucking into a roast dinner with all the trimmings. Your hangriness reaches new levels as you watch them bite into a golden, perfectly cooked roast potato. Look away!
2. When there’s nothing in the fridge
And we mean nothing, not even some eggs to whip up an impromptu omelette. Further panicked rooting reveals some wilted coriander, and yoghurt passed its sell-by date and a seen-better-days bulb of garlic. Argh!
3. When you have nothing sweet for after dinner
You’ve just finished your dinner and need something sweet to round it off. Suddenly you remember you had the last few squares of chocolate the night before. Shock! Horror! Hangriness!
4. When your dinner just won’t cook fast enough
You’re in the kitchen cooking dinner, but it seems to be taking forever and a day. Desperately, you stir-fry the chicken and veg with extra vigour, in the vain hope it’ll move things along a little quicker.
Top tip? Keep hangriness at bay with the new Carr’s Crinklys. These delish snacks are baked not fried, and are perfect for filling the gap between meals. A winner for your ‘hanger management’ cupboard.
5. When you make something – only to drop it
You’ve just waited patiently for a baked potato to cook (seriously, they take ages), only to splatter it on the kitchen floor when you're transferring it from the baking tray to your plate. NOOOO!
Luckily even the hangriest so-and-so can keep this phenomenon at bay with Carr’s Crinklys, the delish new savoury baked snacks from Carr's in Cheese & Onion, Salt & Vinegar and Bacon. A pack is just the right size to keep you ticking over, but won’t spoil your lunch or dinner – and they’re baked, so are way healthier than fried crisps. Yum!
