Snow has been falling in various parts of the country as temperatures dropped this week.
Dublin is currently getting a dose of cold weather as snow is falling on the capitol today.

As snow is such a rarity in Ireland, Twitter is already blowing up with excitement.
According to Met Eireann, this weekend is set to be freezing cold, and people are warned to expect "cold with some clear spells and dry apart from isolated wintry showers."

We're secretly hoping the snow will stick around for a day or two, but drivers should take caution in icy conditions.
