First look: A glimpse of The Chilling Adventures of Sabrina on Netflix

If you're anything like us, you grew up watching Sabrina Spellman in Sabrina the Teenage Witch navigating the murky waters of teenhood coupled with the pressures of casually being a half-witch. 

The iconic series was one of our favourite shows back in the 90s, so you better believe we're expecting big things from its' resurrection – and the first look is finally here. 

The series is set to be a lot darker than the original show, taking inspiration from The Chilling Adventures of Sabrina comics, as we can see from the newly-released images. 

The spellbinding series will follow the life of young with Sabrina as she grapples with her newly discovered powers.

The dark coming-of-age tale will see Sabrina adapt to life as half-human and half-witch.

Filling Melissa Joan Hart's shoes will be Mad Men's Kiernan Shipka in the Netflix adaption. 

Riverdale writer Roberto Aguirre-Sacasa and director Lee Toland Krieger are set to work on the pilot. 

The Riverdale spin-off is set for release on October 26, just in time for the spookiest time of year- Halloween.

The first season of the thrilling show will feature ten episodes.
