‘First to know’: Janet Jackson delays world tour amid baby news

Pop mega-star, Janet Jackson, has taken to social media today to deliver a VERY important message to her fans.

In a short video which the 49-year-old star posted to Twitter in the last hour, she reveals that she will have to postpone the second leg of her Unbreakable World Tour as she and her husband are 'planning their family'.

"I thought it was important that you be the first to know," she began. "My husband and I are planning our family, so I’m going to have to delay the tour."

Pleading with the public to understand her decision to postpone the upcoming concerts, Janet explains that she has been advised to 'rest up' by doctors and says she hopes she will have the support of her loyal fans.

"Please, if you could try and understand that it’s important that I do this now," she said. "I have not forgotten about you. I will continue the tour as soon as I possibly can."

Janet, who married her husband Wissan Al Mana in a secret ceremony in 2012, has been inundated with messages of support since the upload, with one fan writing: "I am truly happy for her. She has given so much over the years. It's time for her now."
