Former girl band star excitedly announces her engagement
Huge congratulations are in order this weekend for former Sugababes star Heidi Range, who has announced her engagement to partner Alex Partakis.
The 31-year-old took to Twitter last night to share the amazing news with her followers, writing: “Delighted to share the news that my gorgeous Alex Partakis proposed last night! Am the happiest girl alive and can’t wait to be MRS HP.”
The singer went on to retweet a sweet message from her fiancé which read: “Am the happiest man the world today. Heidi Range said yes! Can’t wait to spend the rest of our lives together xxx.”
It seems that Heidi had no idea about the proposal, having taken to her social media channels earlier in the day to reveal that Alex had surprised her with a trip to her favourite hotel as part of her birthday celebrations.
Heidi was previously engaged to radio and TV presenter Dave Berry, with the pair announcing their split in 2011, after eight years together.

The star’s lovely news comes just months after her former band mate, Amelle Berrabah tied the knot with her long-term love, just a week after announcing her engagement.
