Gardaí launch appeal after female cyclist reportedly raped in Dublin
A garda investigation is underway this morning, following reports that a female cyclist was raped in Dublin, in the early hours of this morning.
According to RTE.ie, the woman was pushing her bike along the Lucan-Newlands Road, in Clondalkin, when the attack occurred.
It is believed that a group of people dragged the woman into a nearby area of parkland, at around 3am.
The woman was brought to hospital for treatment after the ordeal.
Indepdent.ie reports that the area where the attack occurred has now been sealed off, with members of the Garda Technical Bureau now examining the scene as part of an investigation.
The Garda Press Office told SHEmazing that no arrests have been made as of yet, and they are appealing for witnesses or anyone with information to get in touch.
