Gardaí have uncovered a suspected crystal meth lab in Dublin suburb
Gardaí in the capital are currently investigating the discovery of a suspected crystal meth lab in Walkinstown.
According to numerous reports this morning, drugs worth more than €450,000 were seized last night during an operation targeting the sale and supply of controlled drugs.
It is understood that the scene was preserved by officers while a scientist from Forensic Science Ireland provided guidance during the identification of toxic materials.
Powdered substances, plastic containers, chemical compound, a gas mask, face masks, digital weighing scales, a portable stove, butane gas, plastic funnels were seized at the scene of the raid.
A 50-year-old man has been detained by police under Section 2 of the Criminal Justice (Drug Trafficking) Act, 1996 at Sundrive Road Garda Station.
