George Clooney blasts rumours about his fiancée

George Clooney has officially spoken out about rumours regarding his fiancée’s mother opposing his impending marriage.

The Hollywood hottie spoke to USA Today where he slammed reports that Baria Alamuddin was against his marriage to her daughter, Amal.

The Daily Mail story involved had reported that Baria wanted her daughter to marry into her Druze religion and claimed that she could do better than George.

It also claimed that Amal would be shunned from her community for the marriage.

However, George has seen a few holes in the story and has pointed them out: “First of all, factually none of the story is true. Amal’s mother is not Druze … she is no way against the marriage. But none of that is the issue.”

George’s biggest issue with the false story seemed to lie in religious terms: “The irresponsibility, in this day and age, to exploit religious differences where none exist, is at the very least negligent and more appropriately dangerous.”
