‘Sometimes life just happens’: Gigi is NOT happy with Zayn’s critics
The world of celebrity romance is a tumultuous one, especially when social media is involved.
Just hours after pictures of her holding hands with Zayn Malik in LA went public, Gigi Hadid took to Twitter to fire off a few pointed tweets.
The messages – which she deleted within minutes – all seemed to be relating to her new romance and the public reaction to it, which has been somewhat negative.
"Sometimes life just happens… For whatever reason in whatever timing," wrote the model, who split from singer Joe Jonas last month.
"And sometimes it doesn’t make sense till it does. That’s it. If there was a real way to sit with each one of you and tell you my side of things, I would.
"But there's not, so I won't. I've found the only way to happiness is by living as though the microscope isn't there."
Gigi also called out "judgemental" members of the public who were getting involved in a situation that was "not [their] own."
The 23-year-old's tweets came on the same day that her ex Joe created some social media drama of his own, unfollowing both Gigi and Zayn, and deleting a snap of him and Zayn that he'd posted back in June.
Joe's photo, of him and Zayn sitting front row with Kanye West at Paris Fashion Week, had originally been captioned "#SQUAD."
As for Zayn's ex Perrie, she has been putting the past behind her and focusing on having fun with her bandmates as they tour Japan:
She's a smart girl, keeping out of the Joe-Gigi-Zayn drama.
