Great British B*lls-Up: Prue just tweeted (and deleted) the winner
Well, this is an unmitigated disaster.
It seems the excitement of tonight's Great British Bake-Off final went to poor Prue Leith's head because she only went and spoiled the whole thing.
That's right, ladies, the GBBO judge took to Twitter and sent her congratulations to this year's winner… before the show aired.
Naturally, the tweet came down almost as quickly as it went up, but the damage was already done.
And Twitter is facepalming all over itself this morning.
Mary Berry wouldn’t have done what Prue just did. #GBBO

Prue Leith has just ruined all the goodwill built up by her excellent stylist. #GBBO fans, get off the Internet now until it airs.

And yes, we did see the original tweet, and no we shan't ruin it for you.
*Excuse us while we cancel our GBBO party for later.*
