Britney has been around for most of our lives and throughout all the ups and downs, we still love her abundantly.

We loved her when she wore pigtails and we loved her when she wore a snake. We loved her even more when she shifted Madonna and we still loved her when she kind of lost it.

That woman has been on some roller coaster in her and has managed to survive in one piece. And for that we have to give her major props.

Here is the queen of pop's fiercest moments. Happy birthday Brit!

1) Hit me, Baby

Remember when Britney Spears single handedly made school girls sexy. We do!

We never figured out exactly what she wanted us to hit her with, but this was still an absolute chewn.

2) Slavin' away

Within two minutes of pure pop heaven, Britney shrugged off her squeaky clean and officially hit popstar puberty.

We will never forget our shock when the Slave 4 u video came out. Remember the sweat, the groans, the dancers?… it's still too much.

3) THAT snake

Perhaps the most iconic pop image of all time is Britney sauntering onto the MTV Video Music Awards stage in 2001 wearing a snake as a casual accessory.

4) Sealed with a kiss

Never had the world imploded more then when pop's ultimate queen shifted the former queen of pop in another magical MTV awards moment.

5) Toxicity

Perhaps the most memorable of all of Britney's videos. She played a seductive air hostess, a laser dodging thief and died her hair red. She even got naked apart from some strategically placed sequins.
