Happy family! Lost Matilda Doll has been REUNITED with its owner
An Irish mum issued a heart-breaking appeal over the weekend, after she lost a doll that belonged to her late daughter, which went missing during a trip to Dublin Zoo.
The mum in question, Claire Gray, shared her story in the hope that someone may have come across the treasured doll over the past number of days.
And now, according to 98FM's Dublin Talks, the doll has been located and has been returned to its rightful owner, much to the delight of the public!
Baby Matilda was born in July 2013 and diagnosed with Edward’s syndrome shortly after. She was presented with a doll bearing her name – now affectionately known as ‘Matilda Doll’ – shortly before passing away, at the age of three months.
Matilda Doll soon became a precious treasure for the family, in particular Claire as she came to terms with her devastating loss. They endeavoured to bring Matilda Doll everywhere with them, especially during Matilda’s little brother Archie’s ‘firsts’, which is how she got lost last week.
We're so glad the doll is back where she belongs.
