Harrison Ford airlifted to hospital after suffering on-set injuries
It’s just been revealed that actor Harrison Ford was airlifted to hospital today after suffering injuries on the set of the latest Star Wars film.
Apparently the 71-year old actor was crushed after a hydraulic door fell and hit him while he was filming in Pinewood studios in Buckinghamshire.
Disney released a statement this evening about Harrison’s injuries.
“Harrison Ford sustained an ankle injury during filming today on the set of Star Wars: Episode VII. He was taken to a local hospital and is receiving care. Shooting will continue as planned while he recuperates.”
Harrison is still believed to be in hospital awaiting results of further injuries to his chest, while Health and Safety Executives are believed to be investigating the incident.
We wish Harrison a speedy recovery and hope he’s back to filming soon.
