Hollywood’s most famous family has some big changes ahead
A move across the water could be on the cards for Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt, with the news the couple have started house hunting in London.
The pair already have homes in France and California, but having just sold their sprawling $6.5m New Orleans mansion, they are ready to add to their property portfolio once again.
Brad and Ange reportedly checked out a $39m residence in London's Westminster, close to Buckingham Palace recently, but felt it was simply too much money to spend on a new home.
"It’s a huge investment. Neither of them wants to throw down that amount of cash," a source told Us Weekly.
However with Angelina apparently keen to "slowly immerse herself in EU politics," London could be the perfect family base, with Heathrow airport nearby and easy access to other EU cities.
The actress spoke last year of her desire to spend less time in front of (or behind) the camera and more time focusing on world politics and humanitarian efforts. As a UN Goodwill Ambassador, she made over 40 field visits to war and poverty stricken areas around the world, and in 2012 was named a Special Envoy of the UN High Commissioner for Refugees António Guterres.
"I've always gone wherever I felt I was needed," she told ITV News last year.
"When I started working with the UN, I felt I loved working in the field and I felt I was useful… and then there was a point where I realised that I was only so useful in the field because someone had to go to Washington and plea the case. So then I would do that," she continued. "I don't know what that means or where that will lead me."
We don't know either, but we're hoping London…
