‘I can’t turn back time’ Lindsay Lohan on THOSE past mistakes
In the blink of an eye, Lindsay Lohan went from Hollywood royalty at the height of her Mean Girls success to a Tinsletown pariah as evidence of addictions became more and more obvious.
In what looked like a classic case of a child star's downward spiral, Lindsay was blacklisted by production companies and found herself up in court on multiple occasions.
It looks, however, like the 29-year-old actress may be finally turning her life around and tells Vanity Fair that she's positive about her future, and accepts that she went down the wrong path.
"I can't turn back time," she accepts. "But if I could, I would have listened more to my mother and gone back home to N.Y.C. earlier in life and chosen my friends more wisely,"
While insisting that working with and having her own children awaits her, she is currently focussing all her attention on the creative process.
"I am in the process of writing a book, and I am very excited to share my personal experiences in life and how to overcome obstacles," she said. "I hope that my words will connect with those who need some guidance when [or] if they are in a tough place," she continued.
Reflecting on those years when the industry feared for her health and wellbeing, Lindsay says she would tell her younger self to 'put yourself first, and just breathe'.
"Be happy and always be grateful for the moment you have in front of you. Be here, now," she added.
Ladies, it looks like we have a brand-new Lindsay on our hands!
