Inspiring: one young boy was feeling VERY generous this week

If you made your Communion, you no doubt remember very well the feeling of absolute glory when you managed to count up all your earnings at the end of the day.

It was probably the first (and last) time you felt like a real millionaire. Immediately you started planning what you were going to splash out on. It was as if you had won the lottery, the possibilities were absolutely endless.

Ponies, bikes, trampolines, holidays and houses were just some of what we dreamed of owning.

One boy has put us all to shame though. Yes, Donal O’Donovan is possibly one of the most generous youngsters we’ve heard of in a while.

Instead of spending his money in a more traditional treat yourself fashion, he had other plans for his communion money.

The just-one charity, based in West Cork, received a €100 donation from Donal along with a very sweet hand written note.

Declan of the just-one charity was incredibly moved by the youngster’s generous gift and wrote his own letter of thanks to Donal on the charity’s Facebook page.

Just-one is a non-profit organisation that are working to provide better access to educational opportunities for disadvantaged children in Nepal.

They provide peer-mentoring and counselling services for children and their families in order to ensure long-term support for families who would otherwise not get the help they need.

The organisation have been incredibly touched by Donal’s gesture and are hoping that they can find out who is in order to thank him personally.
