Ireland will NOT be going through to the Eurovision final this weekend

Ireland has failed to land a place in the Eurovision Grand Final this weekend.

Despite Galway man Brendan Murray giving an excellent performance in last night's Semi-Final, Ireland missed out on a position in the top 10.

Ireland has not been in the Eurovision Grand Final since 2013.  

'I'm disappointed, but life is full of knocks so I'm going to take it on the chin and move on,' said Brendan, according to RTÉ.

'Tomorrow's another day.'

Romania, Denmark, Austria, Bulgaria, the Netherlands, Belarus, Croatia, Hungary, Israel and Norway and are all through to this weekend's final in Kyiv.
