Irish talent in the running for BAFTA honour
The A-listers of the movie world were honoured by BAFTAs in February, so it’s time to give a nod to the talent of the small screen.
The Irish are holding their own at this year’s awards with Fifty Shades of Grey hunk Jamie Dornan in the running for the lead actor trophy for his chilling performance in The Fall.
The former Calvin Klein model just picked up the best actor award at the IFTAs this weekend, along with the Rising Star award so another win wouldn’t be a surprise.
Bridesmaids star Chris O’Dowd is nominated for Best Male Performance in a Comedy Programme for The IT Crowd, while Graham Norton is nominated for Best Entertainment Performance, with The Graham Norton Show also among the Best Comedy and Comedy Entertainment Programme nominees.
The star-studded ceremony itself will be held on Sunday, May 18th in London.
