Irish TV star finally reveals best kept secret ever!

It has been the best-kept secret for months but the cat is finally out of the bag as Irish TV star Grainne Seoige announced her engagement to South African boyfriend Leon Jordaan.

The presenter has actually been engaged since November, but decided to only reveal the exciting news to friends and family last night!

“We wanted time to enjoy it ourselves. When it is out there, it takes on a life of its own,” she said.

Last night, the couple threw a surprise party in Dublin for 150 guests as a thank you to so many friends who kept the news secret.

Grainne revealed they haven’t decided if they will marry in Ireland or South Africa, but the wedding will take place in 2015.

Grainne and Leon have been dating since October of 2011, and the TV presenter said her fiancé,  “understands a west of Ireland girl like me.”

“He understands what makes me tick. He gets me. What I love about him is his sense of kindness and fun. He also has a strong sense of what’s fair and what’s right. And we’re obviously incredibly happy together,” she said.

The former rugby player has lived in Ireland for 10 years, but the couple were in a long distance relationship since January after Leon returned home when his Navan job ended.
