It’s officially over: Cheryl confirms divorce with JB Fernandez Versini
After 18 months of marriage and almost a year of separation, Cheryl has finally confirmed her divorce with Jean Bernard Fernandez Versini.
This morning, a rep for the former X Factor judge told the Mirror Online that Cheryl and the French businessman obtained a “Decree Nisi in their divorce proceedings”.
“No further comment will be made and they ask for their privacy to be respected,” they said.
According to the Mail Online, it was not expected that the former couple would attend court today.
Cheryl and Jean Bernard married on Macaroni Beach in Mustique in July 2014. It is believed they had only met 12 weeks prior to the wedding.
She previously married Ashley Cole in July 2006. That union ended in divorce in 2010 after it was revealed that the footballer had been unfaithful.
The 33-year-old has been the focus of intense speculation in recent weeks as her changing figure appears to suggest she is expecting her first child with former One Direction star, Liam Payne.
