It’s so… normal! Sam Faiers’ baby name is just not what we expected

Celebrity babies are not like other babies in lots of ways, let's face it.

First off, their arrival is usually met with huge fanfare – thousands of tweets from fans, maybe a photo spread in some glossy magazine, and an interview with the parents who are just "over the moon."

Well, Sam Faiers has given us all of that with the birth of her new son, but there's one thing she's broken the celebrity mould for.

In a new shoot for OK! magazine three weeks after giving birth, Sam revealed her son's name. And it's just very… normal.

World, meet baby Paul Tony Faiers:

"We always wanted him to be called Paul after his dad," Sam said, in reference to her partner Paul Knightley.

The couple kept things in the family for their son's middle name too, choosing Tony after Paul Sr's brother.

However even Sam admits that having a son with the same name as her boyfriend has taken some getting used to, saying, "We call him 'Baby Paul' or just 'Baby' at the moment. We haven't called him Paul yet."

While she's kept relatively quiet on social media since giving birth on December 29, fans of the TOWIE star will be able to follow her journey as a new mum as part of her upcoming ITVBe show, Sam Faiers: The Baby Diaries.

The 90-minute documentary will give fans a "front row seat" as Sam and Paul adjust to life as first-time parents.

Of course, Sam can always turn to her older sister Billie for advice, and no doubt has had lots of parenting practice with Billie's daughter Nellie, now one-and-a-half.
