Hold up! Is Katy Perry’s new fragrance low-key shading Taylor?
In the world of celebrity feuds, none have been quite as high-profile as the spat that kicked off between Katy Perry and Taylor Swift in recent years.
A classic case of frenemies, rumour has it that Katy once tried to poach Tay's troupe of dancers before a pretty major tour leaving the I Knew You Were Trouble singer questioning whether she and Russell Brand's ex-wife were ever really pals.
Commenting on the rift at the time, Taylor told Rolling Stone magazine: "For years, I was never sure if we were friends or not. She would come up to me at awards shows and say something and walk away, and I would think, 'Are we friends, or did she just give me the harshest insult of my life?'"
And in classic Tay style she put her thoughts into lyric writing and penned Bad Blood – a track which is believed to be aimed at Katy and her shady troupe-stealing tactics.
But while it seems Taylor had had the last word on the spat, it looks like Katy might have come back with an example of classic low-key shade.
Taking a line from the song reportedly aimed at her and her supposed lack of sisterhood, Katy has decided to own the words – 'Cause, baby, now we got bad blood
You know it used to be mad love' – and actually call her latest fragrance Mad Love.
Simply a coincidence considering Katy's last fragrance was Mad Potion? Hmmm…we do wonder.
