Kris Jenner details having hysterectomy to remove tumour

Kris Jenner has confirmed the type of treatment she recently underwent to remove a tumour in her ovaries.

In last week’s episode of The Kardashians, the matriarch informed her children that she had been diagnosed with “a cyst and a little tumor on my ovary”, and that she would have to have her ovaries taken out.

Now, in the newest episode of the hit reality series, Kris has gone into more detail about the treatment she has received.

In one scene, Kris opened up to her friends Kathy Hilton and Faye Resnick, and explained that she had been advised to remove her uterus as to "not give anything a chance to grow anywhere."

Speaking about the treatment, the 68-year-old confirmed: "I'm gonna have a hysterectomy. It started out as just getting some ovaries removed, and then today I got a phone call."

Confessing that the treatment is "the best thing" for her health, Kris went on to note how she felt about the issue.

"They found something, we're here to fix it. I'm going to remove something that gave me six of the best parts of my whole life,” she recalled, referring to her six children.

In a later confessional scene, the reality star went on to admit that she was feeling "very sad" about the prospect of removing her uterus.

"I'm very emotional about it, because when you're young, you start talking about wanting a family. It was all we talked about literally for 40, 50 years. So, here we are now talking about it again and it's the other side of the process,” Kris stated.

Although the series has yet to share an insight into Kris’ surgery, a teaser for the next episode of The Kardashians showcased Kris recovering at home as her daughter Khloé and Scott Disick visited her.

"I'm done with my surgery, and I feel great!" Kris exclaimed to the cameras.
