Lea Michele left mortified after Carrie Bradshaw inspired tip goes wrong

In her new book Brunette Ambition, Lea Michele opens up about a particularly embarrassing beauty faux pas.

Inspired by Carrie Bradshaw’s beauty tip on making a pimple look like a beauty spot, the Glee stunner admits she went a little overboard with the black pencil.

In her book she writes: “Hilariously, I thought I had picked up a great concealing trick from Sex and the City, when Carrie uses black eyeliner to turn a zit into a beauty mark. Brilliant, except my skin was so bad I needed about 16 beauty marks.”

The brunette beauty went out that night with so many “beauty spots” that her friends wondered what was wrong with her face.

The 27-year-old wrote: “I went out with girlfriends with black dots all over my face thinking I had the world fooled. They took one look at me and asked, ‘What did you do to your face?’”

Her new book is both a style guide and memoir that takes the reader through her journey to Glee and how to stay “healthy and centred”.
