Lidl unveils return of wooden toys range that’s perfect for Christmas

It’s almost that time of year again! 

Many of us are already getting a head-start on the Christmas list, with plenty of gifts to buy for our loved ones. With this in mind, Lidl Ireland has brought back its affordable, high-quality range of wooden toys to the middle aisle!

From kitchen to train sets, Lidl Ireland has a wide selection of new and popular festive favourites to suit all ages and budgets, with prices starting from as little as €3.99. 

This Christmas, you can grab the perfect gift for your little chef with the Wooden Pizza Oven or Wooden Ice-Cream Wagon (€24.99). It comes complete with a selection of extra pieces for them to create their own pizza, or to scoop up some delicious ice-cream flavours.

If your little one loves baking, you can treat them to the Wooden Play Kitchen (€44.99), which has everything from a sink, tap and washing machine, to a microwave, oven, hobs and a clock! You could also complete their kitchen experience with a collection of Wooden Toy Appliances (€7.99 each), including Lidl’s play Toaster, Coffee Machine and Waffle Maker.

The Wooden Lidl Supermarket (€49.99) featured on last year’s Late Late Toy Show, and it’s now back by popular demand for this Christmas season! Colourfully designed for ages 3+, the wooden supermarket includes a three-tier shelf display for fresh fruit and vegetables, as well as a checkout countertop with an interactive electronic scanner.

Your little one can pretend that they are working in a real Lidl store, as the wooden till point accepts both cash and card, and it also comes with bank notes, coins, and a card reader. Paired with the Wooden Shop Accessories (€9.99), kids can recreate a supermarket in their own homes.

For little ones who love trains, you could gift them the Wooden Christmas Train (€4.99), which has five segments that are magnetically attached. There is also the Parkside Workbench (€34.99) for those who like to fix and make things. Kids can play with a selection of pretend tools including a screwdriver, spanner, electric screwdriver, and vice.

For toys under €10, you have lots of options with the Toy Wooden Car (€3.99), or a Wooden Toy Play Set Assortment (€5.99) each with a selection of a pizza set, sushi set, choppable vegetables or cake. There are also two other Wooden Toy Assortments available for €3.99 and €1.99. The first includes a choice of a fishing game, match the animals or dominos, while the other offers a choice of puzzles with a ladybug, dinosaur, owl, bear, or tractor.

Lidl Ireland’s wooden toys will be available from Thursday, October 17, across all 180 stores nationwide, while stocks last. The store’s new Christmas Children’s Toy range is also available, with additional items being added on a weekly basis.
