Life festival encourages attendees to get out and vote before going
Life festival kicks off this Friday, May 25th.
If that date sounds familiar to you, it should, as it's the day that the country will vote whether to maintain or repeal the 8th amendment to the Irish constitution.
When the date for the referendum was set, many expressed concern on social media that some young people would not get out and vote that morning if they were attending Life festival.
The festival have this morning posted encouragement for the attendees to make sure they take the time to vote on Friday morning.
'It's so important that people get up and vote before coming to Life,' the festival wrote in a statement on their Instagram.
'No woman should have to travel to access healthcare. Vote YES for safe, compassionate healthcare for Irish women at home #RepealThe8th.'
Fatboy Slim, Armand Van Helden, Adam Beyer and Jax Jones are all performing at the three-day event.
