Madonna tries to out-celeb Taylor… and fails miserably
Madonna's new music video has just dropped, and she's gone all Taylor Swift on us. Sadly though, the risk doesn’t seem to have paid off.
The 56-year old pop singer has been teasing the celeb-studded B*tch I'm Madonna video on social media for the last few days, but now that it's finally arrived a lot of fans have been left disappointed.
For one thing, the much-anticipated appearances from Beyoncé, Katy Perry, Nicky Minaj, Miley Cyrus and co. each only last a couple of seconds at a time, with none of the ladies actually bothering to come on set to film their piece and instead opting to appear via green screen.
Awks.
Given that the video features a strong female cast, the comparisons to Taylor's Bad Blood video were inevitable, and Madonna didn't seem to be doing much to stop them. Take the poster for instance, which Madge shared on Instagram two days ago:
Look familiar?
Whatever about the similarities, it seems Taylor has definitely won this battle, especially if these fan reactions to the new video are anything to go by:
Madonna's new video is giving me flashbacks to 2008 YouTube and trying to get people to send video clips for a birthday collab

I just watched Madonna's new video, and it really wasn't what I was expecting! All I know is that I'm sure to be having nightmares tonight..

Better luck next time, Madonna…
