Megan Barton Hanson ‘alone and sad’ after split from Wes Nelson

Megan Barton Hanson has opened up on Instagram stories about how unhappy she feels following her public break up with Wes Nelson.

The pair split after 6 months, following their time in the Love Island villa. After the show, the pair moved in together and embarked on hectic work schedules, culminating in Wes' participation on Dancing on Ice.

'So, I've never done this before, like posted anything when I'm feeling really really crap…' Megan said on her Instagram story. The model has been a vocal mental health advocate and often discusses her past issues with anxiety in interviews.

'I always preach about mental health, not just showing your highlights on Instagram.'

'Now I've come back to this new flat I've moved into alone, and it's just sad to come back to complete silence, and I dunno,' she continued.

'I longed for a boyfriend or a partner for years before I went on Love Island, and then I finally found that…'

She says, 'I thought I'd found "the one" so it's just difficult.'

Megan also reveale that she knows she needs to work on and be happy in herself, but is finding that difficult at the moment.

'And I know everyone's like "you need to be happy in yourself and love yourself", and I do, and that's what's sad.'

'I just wanna be able to share these memories and create a little life and an empire with someone else.'

'I'm so blessed. I've had such an amazing time since I've left the villa, but there's always gonna be times where you're just feel like a bit alone and sad.'

'And, I just wanted to share with you… It's not all happiness and one hundred per cent positivity all of the time.'

'Love me or hate me I wanted to share that and show you despite peoples circumstances life is up and down for us all.'

'It's okay to feel down sometimes, time a second brush yourself off, breathe and focus on the future.'
