Nightmare for Katy Perry as hacker takes over her Twitter account
The last few weeks have been rough for Katy Perry, and it doesn't look like things are about to pick up any time soon.
After been forced to dismiss rumours that her current bae, Orlando Bloom, was getting up close and personal with Selena Gomez, the Firework singer has now learned that her Twitter account has been hacked.
With a staggering 89 million followers, the Twitophere went into meltdown when it appeared the star was tweeting abusive, racist and homophobic tweets from her account.

According to The Independent, Katy's hacker tweeted a link to an unreleased track on SoundCloud and then rubbed salt in the wound by getting in touch with Katy's frenemy, Taylor Swift, to tell her she missed her.
The tweets, which have since been deleted, were accompanied by a message which read: "@sw4ylol #hackersgonnahack."
While representatives for Twitter cannot comment on individual cases due to security reasons, it is understood that Katy's hacker's account is currently active but not fully operational.
