Not even the world’s most eligible bachelor can persuade Jen

Two years ago it was the rumour that caught everyone's attention: Prince Harry had his eye on none-other than 24-year-old Jennifer Lawrence. Although at the time he was seeing society girl Cressida Bonas, apparently he had a major crush on the Oscar-winner and was desperate to meet her.

Now Life & Style magazine is reporting that the still-smitten British royal has again approached the actress with the offer of a dinner-date – at Kensington Palace no less – but that she flatly turned him down. Ouch. It is reported that Harry, arguably the world's most eligible bachelor, made the most recent advance last November when Jen was in London promoting The Hunger Games: Mockingjay Part 1.

And back in March 2013, a source told OK! magazine in the US that the prince reckoned Jennifer was the girl for him. “Harry is looking for a serious relationship and is ready to settle down. And the way he’s thinking right now he could end up with a Hollywood wife,” the source added. How very modern-day Grace Kelly and Prince Rainier of Monaco.  

Ms Lawrence is still quietly dating Coldplay frontman Chris Martin (she must have a thing for posh English boys). Meanwhile Harry (30) is currently single, although in February Emma Watson had to take to Twitter to dispel rumours she was seeing him.
