Oh, trouble, trouble, trouble! Taylor Swift is ordered to attend court…
Taylor Swift and Lucky 13 potentially have a nasty court battle on their hands.
The founder of the fashion retailer claims that Ms Swift, 25, copied its trademark look onto a collection of cotton t-shirts sold by the singer.
Tay-Tay's lawyer tried to fight the hearing, saying that there is no way the singer could attend in person as it would impact on her massive 1989 world tour. They also claimed that Lucky 13 has been "harassing" her in recent months.
But the judge seems not to be on Taylor's side on this occassion: he ruled that the musician has no choice but to attend the hearing. She now has up to a week to confirm a convenient time.
The Californian judge explained: "Swift's schedule is not a basis for a protective order prohibiting her deposition testimony altogether. There is no evidence in the record to show that the plaintiffs have been inconsiderate of Swift's schedule.
"To the contrary, the record shows just the opposite. Nor does the evidence suggest that plaintiffs have sandbagged Swift's deposition to coincide with her world tour."
Well, we hope this all gets sorted soon!
