British Airways school Piers Morgan on his TRUE celeb status
In a move which not many people would attempt, former News of the World editor, Piers Morgan, took to social media yesterday to suggest that he may have a higher global profile than…wait for it…Brad Pitt.
That's right; after the Good Morning Britain presenter copped that he and the Inglourious Basterds actor were travelling on the same plane, Piers put two and two together and happily came up with five.
Tongue firmly in cheek while tweeting to his Twitter followers who number in the millions, Piers wrote: "So, Brad Pitt just got on my @British_Airways plane to London. He's in seat 6F, I'm in 1A. This settles my celebrity status once and for all,"

Acknowledging the broadcaster's joke, British Airways decided to school him on celebrity hierarchy, responding: "Ooops, seems like we made a mistake there, Piers! Any chance you could swap with him?"

Telling the airline that that wouldn't be happening any time soon, Piers sat back and let the Twitopshere argue over whether he genuinely did think airplane seat numbers were directly related to an individual's fame.
Lads, we're pretty sure he's having a bit of a lol…
