Pedestrian dies after being struck by 2 cars in Co Louth

According to the Gardaí, a man, believed to be in his 20s, has died after being struck by two cars in Co. Louth.

It is understood that the incident occurred at approximately 03.15 this morning on the Old Newry Road in Dundalk.

The man was pronounced dead at the scene by authorities while neither driver sustained injury.

Gardaí have closed the road to allow for an examination to be conducted by the Garda Forensic Collision Investigators.
