Pop star and TV presenter welcome their new baby
It was an exciting day for Nick Lachey and his wife Vanessa yesterday as they welcomed their daughter into the world.
Vanessa announced the lovely news on her website, revealing that they have chosen to name their little girl Brooklyn, writing: "She’s HERE!!!! Nick, Camden and I are SO excited to announce the birth of our sweet, beautiful baby girl, Brooklyn Elisabeth Lachey! She was born January 5th, 2015 at 5:17pm. She weighed in at 7 pounds 15 ounces, is 21 inches long and has already won over all of our hearts.”
The mum went on to say that she has been dreaming of welcoming a little girl, who already seems to be her best friend, how sweet! “I have been dreaming of this moment for as long as I can remember, the day I was going to meet my little girl. A friend recently told me how magical today was going to be because it’s the day I would meet my best friend. I can’t even begin to tell you how it felt to hold her in my arms for the very first time. Mommy, Daddy and big brother Cam love you so much already, Brooklyn!”
Vanessa also shared the news on her Instagram account, with a beautiful black and white photo of her new little girl's hand in her own.
Nick and Vanessa are also parents to a two-year-old boy, Camden. Congratulations to the family on their lovely new addition!
