Baking fans, we have good news for you… GBBO is set to return for a sixth series in just two weeks.
Mary, Paul, Sue and Mel will be back with a new cast of aspiring bakers from Wednesday August 5th on BBC One. We love the trailer, featuring Mary Berry as a Sound Of Music-era Julie Andrews:
No news on the contestants has been revealed yet, but they should be announced in the next week or two.
In the meantime, Paul Hollywood has been keeping fans updated with a few sneak peeks inside this year's tent in Welford Park, Berkshire:

After moving over to BBC One last year, ratings for the series shot up to around 10.4 million per episode, from an average of 7.35 on its previous home, BBC Two. Some might say it was the channel change that made the difference, but last year's series made for pretty gripping viewing, as did the Comic Relief celebrity version earlier this year.
After all, we had #BinGate, where a disgraced Iain threw his Baked Alaska in the bin after someone took it out of the freezer too early…
