The pumpkins are carved, the costume has been selected, and a bumper-bag of treats has been laid out for the trick-or-treaters.

Yep, it's that time of year again, and if you're not one to hit the town on a Tuesday night, you'll be propped up on the couch watching Stranger Things and doling out the sweeties to the face paint-spattered masses.

One of the most panic-inducing moments on Halloween night is the realisation that you may not have enough sweeties for all the precious little monsters darkening your door.

Luckily, Deliveroo is stepping in to ensure that your sweet bowl never goes empty.

Introducing: Deliverboo, the emergency sweetie service which will run on October 31.

If you find yourself in this life or death situation (or maybe you just want a few extra nibbles for your horror movie marathon), Deliverboo promises to have a fresh batch of sugary treats to your door in Dublin in 30mns or less.

The deliveries will come in a pumpkin shaped box, and you can choose from Bassett, Swizzels Bumper Bags, Pick n’ Mix Fun Size Minis and Haribo delights.

All you have to do is find the Deliverboo Shop in the Deliveroo app and select your treats.

As soon as the Deliverboo ghoul arrives, you'll be stocked up with all the confectionery an army of mini fairies, ghosts, Spidermen,Elsa-from-Frozens, and vampires could get through.

'So many people forget to buy treats for the trick-or-treaters,' Deliveroo spooks-person Joe Groves said.
