Reality star recovering after terrifying car crash

Teen Mom star Ryan Edwards is in recovery after a serious car crash late last week.

The 25-year-old ex-boyfriend of Maci Bookout was involved in a collision with another vehicle after he crossed double yellow lines while speeding, in his home town of Chattanooga, Tennessee.

Onlookers saw him sitting on the side of the road in a neck brace on Friday evening, with his head bandaged and blood streaming down his face.

The other driver was taken to hospital but Ryan reportedly refused and instead waited for a friend to pick him up.

Ryan is the father of Maci's 6-year-old son Bentley and first appeared in MTV's 16 And Pregnant. Maci took to Twitter yesterday to clear up some facts about the car accident, after misleading reports hit the press:

Ryan and Maci were engaged before Bentley's birth, but called things off shortly after the little boy was born in October 2008.

Maci is now dating motocross racer Taylor McKinney. We hope Ryan has someone looking after him at the moment too!
