Positive news: Lamar WILL survive – and Khloé wants him back in LA
After fears escalated last week that Lamar Odom might not pull through, he finally seems to be on the long road to recovery.
The NBA star is said to have opened his eyes and spoken several times over the weekend, and TMZ are reporting he'll make it through.
Just days ago Lamar was given a 50/50 chance of survival, after being found unconscious in a Nevada brothel due to a suspected drug overdose.
Sadly though, it's not all good news as his rehabilitation process will take several months, and it's thought he could end up with a lot of permanent damage to his body.
For now the basketball star has a team of physical and speech therapists working with him, and the Kardashians are apparently making plans to have him moved back to Los Angeles.
"Khloe [Kardashian] and Kris [Jenner] decided to move Lamar to a rehab center in LA so they can all be closer to him," a source tells Us Weekly.
Lamar and Khloé split in 2013 after four years of marriage, but have remained in regular contact.
With their divorce yet to be finalised by California's family law courts, they are still legally married, and Khloé has reportedly been making all medical decisions on her ex's behalf.
She has remained at Lamar's bedside in Las Vegas since last week, with one source saying the ailing basketball player managed to utter the words "Hey baby" after waking up to see Khloé next to him.
Despite their continued presence at Lamar's side, the Kardashian family have come under fire for their bad handling of the situation, with one unnamed source accusing them of "crying and pretending like they care."
Indeed, it's thought a recent episode of Keeping Up With the Kardashians may have been the catalyst that caused Lamar's downward spiral into drugs and partying last weekend, with the NBA star said to be enraged after seeing how he was depicted on the show.
In the aftermath, his response – according to Mail Online – was to angrily declare that he was better than the Kardashians. "F*** them," he is reported to have said.
"He felt chewed up and spat out," another source added.
With the Kardashian clan at his side during recovery, it remains to be seen if Lamar will confront them about what he no doubt considers to be a huge betrayal.
