Shock for singer as wife files for divorce!
Seems like things are really finished for Robin Thicke and his wife Paula Patton.
The couple, who were together for nine years, first split in February of this year. "We will always love each other and be best friends; however, we have mutually decided to separate at this time," they said in a joint statement at the time.
Since then, the Blurred Lines singer has been on a mission to win Paula back – but he hasn't succeeded.
Robin even went so far as to dedicate his most recent album to her, simply titling it Paula. The first single form the album, released in May, was called Get Her Back. Subtle!
He also apologised publicly at a number of concerts, saying things like "I'd like to dedicate this to my wife. I miss you and I'm sorry." Awkward.
Paula filed for divorce at a Los Angeles court earlier this week, citing "irreconcilable differences." She has reportedly requested that the couple share joint custody of their four-year-old son Julian.
Robin admitted in a recent interview that he was in the dark about whether Paula would ever take him back: "I actually have no idea what I'm doing. I'm just kinda flying by the seat of my pants on this one."
