Singer blasts ’14-year-old’ haters over new relationship with actor

FKA Twigs, a highly successful British musician, appeared on USA Today and told how her new relationship has meant she has endured lots of online abuse: “I really enjoy the fun of putting something out and people liking it or hating it or talking about it, but vacuous attention, it feels disgusting. It’s like a hangover. It’s weird. I know that’s not really because of me or what Im doing [but] the positivity that I get from [my relationship] makes the challenging aspects…very worth it.”

Twigs says she was feeling the wrath of “14-year-old kids that should be in bed” on social media, which was evident from a recent tweet she put out, saying: “I am genuinely shocked and disgusted at the amount of racism that has been infecting my account the past week … Racism is unacceptable in the real world and it’s unacceptable online.”

The musician has been dating the Twilight star for the past few months, but it certainly sounds like some of his fans haven’t been taking the news of their relationship all that well…
