Singer makes heartbreaking admission about break-up

Singer Katherine Jenkins has made a heartbreaking revelation about her engagement to Gethin Jones, which ended in 2011. While details surrounding their break-up were kept quiet, Katherine has now revealed that Gethin was the one who ended it. 

Katherine has now spoken about her heartbreak in a new BBC documentary, saying: “At the end of 2011, when Gethin and I broke up, the reality of it was that, about two weeks later, I had to go on a UK tour where every night I’m singing songs of heartbreak and every day just trying to find the energy to cope – let alone going and stage and understand his reason for doing it.”

The talented opera singer then went on to say that while everyone assumed it was she who had ended things, this simply wasn’t the truth: “Everybody else is under the impression it was my decision, my ambition – I wanted to take over the world. It was so far from the truth.”

Katherine is now happily married to Andrew Levitas, after they tied the knot back in September.
