Six months on… Meath family reunited with their missing DOG

by

Ladies, prepare yourself for a Christmas miracle.

Six months after Spot Gallagher went missing from his family home in Co Meath, the Jack Russell has made his way back just in time for the festive season, and everyone here at SHEmazing! HQ is currently weeping into their sleeves.

According to numerous reports in today's papers, the Gallagher family have compared Spot's return to a lotto win, with father Jason saying: "The fella that won the €11m in the lottery didn't feel as good as I did last week."

Reflecting on the impact Spot's disappearance had on the family and their other pet Dora, Jason said: "It was unbelievable. It was like a death in the family. Samuel was so upset, and the German Shepherd went off her food and lost all her hair."

After months of searching, Jason explained that he received a phone call which suggested the family's luck had changed.

"We had a call from the Collon Animal Sanctuary in Louth saying they had Spot," Jason said. "Someone had picked him up near Drogheda thinking he was a stray and held on to him until an allergy forced them to hand him over to the sanctuary."

"I couldn't believe it. When I picked him up last Wednesday there were tears from everyone. The kids cried, the wife cried and the neighbours cried."

"It was pure joy. When the big fella comes on Christmas Eve, my kids won't be smiling as much as when they saw that dog again."

And if anyone needs us, we'll be phoning home to tell our pets how much we love 'em.
