The Brown Thomas Christmas shop just opened and feelings are mixed
Is it still too early to mention the 'C' word?
Yes, is the answer – but try telling that to the folks over at Brown Thomas.
A new Christmas section has launched at the Cork, Limerick and Dublin stores, offering eager customers some of “the most luxurious and stylish” festive gear around, and we're just not sure how to feel.

The windows will also be decked out with extravagant displays of festive nonsense.
According to NewsTalk, Brown Thomas creative director John Redmond says: "Our aim is to offer that special Brown Thomas magic to our much valued customer, the season begins when our windows open."

And while that all sound fantastic, we reckon the magic may have worn off by the time Christmas actually rolls around.
Needless to say, Twitter is divided about the controversial move.

It's my first Christmas out of retail in a long time, I know how the Brown Thomas staff must be feeling with the Christmas shop opening.

I hope people are as outraged about Brown Thomas opening their Xmas shop this week as they are about Trump. I expect protests.
