So Kate Middleton’s hairdresser has just spilled all of her hair SECRETS

by

We'd all be lying if Kate's (seemingly) effortless tresses were not our hair goals for every single day of our lives, because they obviously are.

The Duchess's barnet has become something of a cult phenomenon, so obviously when her hairdresser speaks, you listen.

And we are here to tell you that Kate's official hairdresser, Richard Ward, has just spoken.

"I think the 'gringe' – or the grown-out fringe as it was called at the time – is feminine and pretty, and can break up someone’s face," said Richard to OK! Mag on Kate's favourite way to sport her hair.

"I’m a big fan of fringes for changing someone’s look without doing anything too drastic.

"A side-swept 'gringe' like Kate's is good because it is forgiving and easy to grow out if the woman who has it isn’t a fan."

Richard did admit that if we wanted the flawless waves of her royal highness, we'd wanna be prepared to shell out.

"If you’re after expensive-looking hair like Kate’s, the key is the blow dry. You’re never going to get rich girl hair without a good blow dry.

"The products are important, but having hair that is in good nick, thanks to regular trims, treatment, and a decent hairdryer is the secret to making it look fabulous."

Okay, so he may have dashed our dreams of rocking Kate's effortless waves everyday, but he did give some tips on trying out her blow-dry style at home:

Step 1 Spray a volumising hairspray through your roots, put a smoothing cream on the ends and dry your hair until it's 80 per cent dry.

Step 2 Wrap 2 inch sections of hair around your brush adding the heat of the hairdryer and press the cool button to set the style in place.

Step 3 Take the brush out of the hair and wrap the hair around your finger and clip for longer lasting hold.

Step 4 For the final step, take the clips out and brush through your hair for an effortless Kate Middleton look.

Now go forth and conquer those tresses.
