Soltan Face Suncare Cream Range- Girls Say Trial Reviews

As a ginger lady, I have a plethora of SPF products in my possession. I had not been that familiar with Soltan, I knew of the brand having seen it in Boots a good few times, but I never opted for it. I really don’t know why, because I try to use SPF in some form all year round. Either in my foundation or my skincare. It’s better than being a leather handbag when I’m 40! Honestly, I find it baffling why people don’t look after their skin, even if “it’s only Ireland”.
BB Face:
The BB Face Cream I was sent was Light Medium, and it was the first time a BB Cream that said “light medium” was actually light enough for me! So that was an immediate point in its favor! I applied it to my skin, gently rubbed it in and it absorbed in less than two minutes – very impressive! Now, I almost always use BB Cream as an under my foundation “perfecting” step, but this one got to stand alone a few times. My skin felt matte, yet looked radiant. It didn’t seem to oxidise on my skin, which I was delighted with, as that does happen with some BB’s.
BB Face has the highest SPF at Factor 50, and I felt protected from the sun for most of the day!

Sensitive Face:
trialled this for the longest, because I have incredibly sensitive skin, and I figured that it would be the one people would want to know most about.
First of all, the cream has no strong scent or pigment, it’s marked as hypoallergenic which is wonderful, and it doesn’t feel heavy or sticky on my skin. I find it a wee bit shiny, but in a similar vein to the BB Face, it’s a radiant glow, not a greaseball thing. It didn’t beak me out, it didn’t make me come up in any irritated redness or anything like that at all, like I have had with some other brands of suncream.
Sensitive Face has an SPF of 30. I felt protected but still freckled which I like. That might not be your thing, but I really enjoyed it.

Dry Touch Face
I have to admit, I was a bit sceptical on this one. Non Greasy Sun Cream? Yeah, right! But actually I found it really good! If you were having a good skin day, and you just wanted a matte, protective base, Dry Touch Face is the one! I think this particular sun cream is best suited to a no makeup day, where you want to look matte and perfected, maybe just with groomed brows and some mascara. Protected and fabulous!
Dry Touch Face has an SPF of 30.

Overall, I thought the entire Soltan Range was very impressive, even managing to dispel some preconceived thoughts when it came to the BB and Dry Touch. I was delighted to find that the entire range was suitable for my skin, and worked well under makeup.

Thank you so much for the chance to trial the Soltan Face Suncare Cream Range, what can I say….they were SHEmazing!!! They arrived just on time, as I was off on a girls holiday around Europe. The small bottles were the perfect size for travelling and to through in my bag on day-trips. The BB cream was perfect, and definately a must have from now on. I would normally wear make on a daily basis (even when on holidays) however I found the BB cream to so light and had a gorgeous glow. Some of the girls started using it also, as we loved the fresh smell and the fact that it had UVA protection. I also fuond the Dry Touch Face brilliant! Normally sun cream can leave your skin feeling oily and greasy but this product had a fab light and matte look. I don’t normally have sensitve skin but I did try the Sensitive Face one day and found it so soothing. A friend who suffers from sensitve skin, tried it one of the days and loved it – she couldn’t believe the difference and how good it was. She used the cream for the rest the holiday – and will definately be stocking up.

I am very familiar with the Soltan range and have used it in the past and have always found it very good. I would always wear sun cream when on holidays, my pale Irish skin doesn’t handle the sun so well. However on daily basis I wouldn’t normally wear any. I am in my mid-20’s and it is only recently that I have really started concentrating on looking after my skin. I would definately (and have already recommended) the Soltan range to my friends – their fab!

I suffer with sensitive skin and mild rosacea, so I like to use sun screen all year round, I am no longer interested in getting a deep tan, so protecting my skin from damage and ageing is important to me. Previously, I have not used Soltan products.

 Dry Touch Face

I found this cream quite light and easy to apply, however it did take a little while to absorb completely. I did not find it particularly mattifying. It was perfect for a sunny day in the 70’s, my skin did not burn or feel dry. I did try it also with a little foundation on top and it worked well. I would be happy to continue using this product.

BB Face

I LOVE BB creams and am always experimenting.  I liked the feel of this cream, it absorbed into my skin nicely and it is great to have a BB cream with SPF50. I did not however feel that it gave me as much coverage as other BB creams that I have tried. I would be happy to use it around the pool for a light coverage and high SPF, but did not feel confident using it out and about as I prefer something that evens out my skin perfections a little more. I think I will stick to my regular BB cream for daily use and keep this one for when I need a very high SPF.

Sensitive face

I found this cream absorbed into my skin well with no sticky residue or shine. I liked the fact that it was SPF 30, just right for temperatures in the 70’s, some suncreams I find are too oily and leave me with breakouts, this one felt just right, after a week in the sun , I was left with a subtle glow and no sunburn or dryness. I would be happy to buy this sun cream in the future.

I was familiar with the Soltan range but I had never used them before so I was delighted to get a chance to trial these products. Normally I would only use sun protection when the sun is out or during the summer months. I know how important it is to have UVA protection in a sun cream, so I was delighted when I found out that the Soltan contained UV protection.

I was very impressed with the Soltan range, I loved all three products. I am a cyclist and find that my face gets dehydrated quite easily and from using these products, I immediately noticed my face feeling more moisturised and soft.

The Dry Touch Face was fantastic, it gave my face a lovely matte finish, which I found surprising for a sun cream.

I also loved the BB face cream, it gave my face a dewy glow and sometimes I wouldn’t even wear any foundation when I was wearing the BB cream.

I found the Sensitive facial cream very light on the face, my sister suffers from extremely sensitive skin. She used it and thought it was great, that it didn’t leave her face stingy or tingly like other creams have done in the past.

I wouldn’t change anything about the products. I loved the size of the products, I found them handy to bring around especially when I am out cycling.

Overall I was very impressed with the Soltan range and I would buy the products again. Especially the Dry Touch Face.

Firstly thank you for picking me to take part in the Girls Say Trial. I was familiar with the range having used their sun creams while I was on holidays last year. I love that Soltan have a range that is made specifically for the face AND has UVA protection. I wouldn’t use anything that didn’t contain UV protection. I try wear something with some SPF every day, whether it’s sun cream or foundation that contained SPF, trying to avoid wrinkles for as long as possible haha.

I really liked the Soltan range with my favourite being the BB Face cream. I tried wearing it under my make-up and it was too heavy or greasy. It gave my face a lovely glow.

I found the Dry Touch Face great, I hate when my face gets greasy or shiny from wearing sun cream, but I found that this sun cream was so nice and light and easy to rub in.

The Sensitive facial cream was nice and soothing, but I did find that it made my face a bit shiny, apart from that I thought it was great.

I would highly recommend these products and I will be buying them again.

I am familiar with the range but had not used it before. I would only ever use sun protection only in the summer months. I’m only becoming aware recently of the importance of wearing sun protection all year round.

I actually really liked the Soltan range, I found that a little really went a long way and thought it worked really well, it dried in really fast and kept my skin protected all day long.

I loved that there is UVA protection in the products as it is very important to me.

The Dry Touch Face left my face so soft, it was great as I suffer with quite bad dry skin, so I was really impressed with this product. The BB Face was lovely on my skin and it gave me such a radiant glow. I don’t suffer with sensitive skin but it lovely and soothing and soaked in well.

I wouldn’t change anything about the products and will definitely buy these products when they run out.

I loved these products. I am in mid-20’s with a 9 month baby so often find it hard to find the time to remember to put on sun lotion when I am heading out, even though I like to make sure my little one is well covered. On a day-to-day basis I don’t tend to wear allot of make-up, so I found the Dry Touch Face perfect. I put it on in the morning when I got out of the shower and it dryed in leaving my skin lovely, soft and light. It was perfect for when I was out in the garden, as I felt confident that I was fully covered. I tried the BB cream and loved it. I got so many comments saying how fab my skin looked and that I was glowing, which was really lovely. I used the Sensitive Face cream a little less, just as I wouldn’t normally suffer with sensitive skin. On the days I did use it, I loved the fact that it didn’t have any odour and it really left my skin super smooth.

I have actually never used Soltan products prior to this trial and was super excited to try them. I really loved each of the products and have already recommended them all to my friends and family. I have already picked up a second bottle of the Dry Touch Face – it is just perfect for day-to-day wear and even better that I am safe in the knowledge that it has UVA protection.

I wasn’t familiar at all with the Soltan range so I was very excited to try the products. Thank you so much for giving me the opportunity to try this range out. I immediately loved the packaging, especially how they are compact enough to fit in your handbag. I try wear sun cream as much as I can or at least something that has a high SPF in it as I get burnt very easily and find my face gets dehydrated very easily. So to say I was delighted with the Soltan products is an understatement. I found that all three products helped my face in all different ways.

The Dry Touch face rubbed into my skin and was dry almost immediately, it wasn’t at all greasy to touch. The BB face cream gave me a fantastic glow without making my face look shiny, a problem I have found with other BB face creams. The Sensitive facial cream was so light on my face and practically soaked in straight away.

I wouldn’t change anything about these products, I think they are perfect and the fact that they have UVA protection is an added bonus, always very important when it comes to choosing a good sun cream.

I have already recommended these products to my sisters and I will certainly be purchasing these products once these run out.

I wasn’t really familiar with the Soltan range before this trial. I have only ever used their face sun protection as my Mum was using it on a family holiday in Spain last year. I would usually use sun protection if I am lying out in the sun never really on a daily basis but I do use foundation with a small factor in it.

I don’t really use sun protection all year round just during the summer months when I am out and about or sunbathing or in a hot country of course. Protecting my skin is important to me especially my face because I don’t fancy having wrinkly leather-looking skin when I’m older!!

I thought the Soltan range was really good. The packaging is super compact and light and fits easily into a handbag. The consistency of the creams are really light but still feel like they’re hydrating your skin. Knowing there was UVA protection in the Soltan products made me wear them more because I knew my skin was being protected and hydrated at the same time.

I definitely felt an improvement in the softness of my skin. I would suffer from dry patches around my nose and chin and it cleared up within a few simultaneous days of using the product. I found the BB cream was a great base for under my foundation and gave my face a dewy glow.

The Dry Touch Face soaked into my skin really quickly and didn’t leave a sticky residual feeling. The BB face left a glow on my face and worked perfect under my foundation. I suffer from sensitive skin and have to be careful in choosing the products I use on my face but the Sensitive Face cream was really moisturising and soothing. It didn’t sting and my skin felt instantly hydrated.

I don’t think I would change anything about the range and I would definitely buy the range after this trial, especially because they do small versions which are so handy for traveling and popping in your handbag. I loved the BB cream for under my foundation so I will definitely continue to use this.

Yes I was familiar with the Soltan range. I would only ever use sun protection in the summer months or when the sun was out. Protecting my skin form long-term damage and premature aging is important to me. I really liked the Soltan range, I found it very good.

I didn’t know too much about UVA before the trial, but I was glad that they were in the products. I thought the products had great long-lasting moisturisation, my skin felt so soft and smooth after.

I loved all 3 products, they did exactly what they said they would do. I particularly liked the BB Face cream, it gave me a lovely glow.

I wouldn’t change anything about the products and would buy them again.

I would be familiar with solan range as I tend to use them, they are good value and I like the fact that they have a 5 star UVA rating. I tend to use sun protection in sunny weather but I do wear a moisturiser with an SPF of at least 15.

Now that I’m getting older, I am concerned about skin damage and premature ageing, I would have loved to have been a little more concerned when I was younger about the damage the sun can do. I like the Soltan range especially the bb cream, I loved the fact that it had an SPF of 30, it gave my face a nice sheen but I would have liked a little more colour. I don’t wear much make up so a bb cream with a high SPF would definitely favour me buying the cream.

I found the sensitive cream took a little too long to absorb and the dry touch face was great, it dried quickly and did not leave my face greasy looking.
I would definitely buy the bb Soltan and the dry touch face, as I said the sensitive one was a little too heavy for my liking.

I have been using the creams in the last 3-4 days, having already used some of the soltans extensive range already, I was excited to try the face creams, as I’ve sensitive skin, I find it hard to find the right one, not leaving me blotchy or rashy.

Firstly I used the dry touch face cream which lived up to expectations it dried in very well my face felt soft, and the main thing it protected me. I then used the bb cream which was even better adding a little colour too, as I have a very pale complexion.

Lastly I tried the sensitive cream, and I have to say I’ve now found the right cream for me as far as sensitivity is concerned, usually as soon as I out a cream on I can tell straight away if I need to take it off or not I did not have to worry about going blotchy with this one at all.  So coming to the end of my review I have to say Soltan is a thumbs up from me.

I kinda felt a little bad when I got chosen for this trial, as I hadn’t booked or planned any summer holidays. However, having read about the products and the trial it really encouraged me to become more pro-active with using sun protection with UVA on a more regular basis – despite the great Irish weather! I have used Soltan products before and have always found them to be good. I have been on the look-out for a nice BB cream, that wasn’t going to break-the-bank and can’t believe how good the BB Face cream is. I have worn it to work on a number of occasions and really loved how light and fresh it was and it really did lasted well throughout the day. I like to go jogging in the evenings and weekends, but always take my make-up off before I go.  I found the Dry Touch Face cream perfect for this, I felt completed protected and also it was great that it absorbed so easily and so light while I was running. My skin often flares up when I use some products, however I found all the Soltan creams perfect – particularly the Sensitive Face cream – it was so soothing and fresh. It was even nicer that it didn’t have a smell.

I am conscious about protecting my skin, but just really bad at actually doing anything. I found the creams perfect and so easy to use. The were super light and weightless on the skin which made it even to use the products.

I will definitely be using these products again, and will be stocking up for my next holiday. I have recommended these products to friends who are going away, and they are delighted.

This is my first time to try Soltan products, and I must say I was very impressed. I normally apply sunscreen during the summer months, but I would like to find a affordable product which I could use all year and add to my normal daily moisturising routine.

The Dry Touch Face:

This really suited my skin, smelt beautiful and soaked into my skin without feeling or looking greasy.  My skin felt soft and didn’t have a shine after applying this.   I didn’t suffer any breakouts which usually happens after I use a product continuously.

BB Face:

I didn’t really like the BB cream, colour was a little too dark for me, and it felt heavy on my skin when applied.

Sensitive Face:

The sensitive face didn’t really soak in correctly to my face, and my face felt greasy after application.  I stopped using this as I knew my face would end up with a breakout if I continued as it wasn’t soaking in correctly.

I did like the fact it contained UVA protection as it would be handy having a everyday moisturiser that offers protection all year around.

Overall my favourite Soltan product was the dry touch face, which I will definitely be purchasing for everyday use.

I am a regular shopper in Boots, so I had heard of the Soltan range but I had never actually purchased them myself. I would always wear sun cream during the summer but I wouldn’t feel the need to wear it at any stage throughout the rest of the year. When I do wear sun cream, I would always wear the highest possible factor and a cream that had UV protection. So the Soltan range ticked all of the boxes in terms of protection.

Overall I was really impressed with the 3 products I was given to trail. I found that all 3 gave long-lasting moisturisation and absorbed well.

My favourite was the Sensitive Facial Cream, I loved how light and soothing it was on my face. I liked how the BB Face cream gave an “illuminated” look, and loved the way it evened out my skin tone. I thought the Dry Touch Face was great, I always suffer with shiny patches, particularly across my cheeks and forehead, the Dry Touch Face helped so much, I practically have no shininess at all now!

I don’t think that there is anything that I would change about the products, they are compact, they have UV protection and give long-lasting moisturisation. They are pretty much perfect and I would recommend these products to a friend.  I’m going on holidays next week and I can’t wait to really put these sun creams to the test.

I was thrilled to have been chosen to review The Soltan Suncare Cream range…thank you and I hope my contribution will be helpful to other users.

I have suffered with sun damage in the past, so I have in recent years become very aware of the dangers of the sun and strive to apply sun protection daily. It is very important to me that my Sun Care would contain 5* UVA protection. I am familiar with the Soltan range and am more than happy to take part in this trial for their excellent new range.

Dry Touch Face.

I loved the fact this cream was ultra light and weightless. There was absolutely no oily or greasy residue yet it felt very moisturised and comfortable to wear. It was very slightly perfumed which I was happy with as I dislike any facial products which are strongly perfumed. I would be charmed to wear this daily as I did’nt have that ‘white’ pallor that some sun care can produce. I applied it on occasion under my foundation and was very happy with the result. As with all Soltan Suncare thankfully it contains anti-ageing complex.

BB Face.

This was a new venture for me as I had wondered how a sun care BB face cream would work. Well I was very impressed with the dewy result as I expected it to be maybe greasy or shiny. It has a lovely illuminating effect and genuinely evened out my skin tone. I felt I could wear this without foundation and still look presentable!. A plus for me was it is factor 50 and it will be packed without doubt for the sun holiday in September. Again it is mildly perfumed and the tube is a perfect handbag size..perfect ‘On The Go’ size.

Sensitive Face.

This I found a total joy to wear….totally free from perfumes & Colourants. As I have got a tad older I find my skin slightly sensitive and can react on occasion to perfumes and other allergens. The light soothing formula of this cream suits me totally and I am so pleased to have discovered it. It is the perfect Hypoallergic suncare cream for those that require it. My complexion felt soft, smooth and continuously moisturised.  It is easily absorbed…no waiting around!!

I am in my late 20’s and have suddenly become obsessed with protecting my skin, as I near my 30’s…and these products were exactly what I was looking for. They are all lovely and light which makes them perfect for daily wear and they are the perfect size to through in your bag. I wear make-up on a daily basis and find that if I were to put sun cream under my foundation that it makes it horribly greasy and oily. The Dry Touch Face is amazing, I put this  on before my foundation and it is so light that I you wouldn’t notice that you are wearing it. When I go to the gym, or if I am just chilling at the weekend – I found the BB Face cream amazing. It gave my skin a fabulous tone and really did illuminate it. I loved that if I was out and about, I felt the I looked good and yet was confident that I was being protected from the sun with the UVA protection.

I hadn’t used Soltan products prior to this trial, but I can’t believe how good they are. I will definitely be using these again and going forward as they are such great creams and even better that I now know my skin being protected. I am planning on continuing to use them through the Winter and Autumn months, as I now know how important this is. Definitely a thumbs up from and highly recommended.

Thank you for letting me be a part of this Girls Say Trial.  I was familiar with the Soltan products having bought their sun cream for my holidays back in May. I loved how there is a separate sun cream specifically for your face. I think that having UVA protection in a sun cream in extremely important, I don’t think people understand how harmful UV rays can be to the body, so it’s so fantastic when sun creams like Soltan have you covered in more ways than one.

I loved the Soltan products, they were light on the skin but you still felt like they were hydrating and moisturising your face. I tried the BB Face cream first, as I always hear my friends talking about different brands of BB creams, so I was excited when I heard that Soltan had their own BB face cream. I thought the BB cream gave my face such a dewy glow and I have started to wear it every day under my make-up.  The Sensitive Facial cream was so light and absorbed immediately. The Dry Touch Face was fantastic for creating that “matte” look that I love so much, I also think it’s great to wear on days that you don’t want to wear any make up.

Overall I was really happy with the Soltan range and I would 100% purchase these products in the future.

When I am on holiday I hate to use ordinary sun cream meant for body on my face, I love when I find one especially for face!

I found the Sensitive Face cream very light, exactly what I like I hate rich/heavy creams, it had no smell either so suited me, and a full 5 star UVA protection, I give this one 9 out of 10, the reason it lost a point is because it left my face shiny, which I hate in a cream, I don’t like greasy feeling

I have used Soltan Dry Touch sun cream on my last holiday to Tenerife both the adult’s and kid’s version, it is very light weight and non-greasy – so perfect, which it was in the body sun cream form but I found on my face the smell was too over powering for me, don’t get me wrong it’s a lovely summer sun cream smell but too much for the face! Because I suppose I can be a bit sensitive so this one gets 9 out of 10 as well! Losing the point because of the overpowering smell

Finally the BB Cream I already own NO 7 Protect & Perfect Intense Advanced BB FACIAL sun protection in SPF 30 in fair, which I found slightly too dark for my skin, but I found this BB face cream in light to medium more suited to the colour of my face and a great coverage and again a really high UVA rating, again 9 out of 10 on this one, losing a point again for the smell, really smells of sun scream, which I don’t like to smell on my face, that could be just personal taste though.

So all in all I think if the sensitive face cream had the dry touch incorporated into it, it would be perfect, if all 3 were made sensitive, light, dry touch and no smell! Incorporate all the best bits into one cream it would be perfect.

Thank you so much for picking me to take part in the trial!! I wasn’t familiar with the Soltan range, but I’m pretty sure I have tried every other kind of sun cream out there. As soon as the sun comes out I always make sure that I am lathered in the highest factor possible. Protecting my skin against long term skin damage is so important to me and I was so relieved when I found out that the Soltan range has UVA protection.

I really liked all 3 products in the range. Each one had its own brilliant feature. Having tried so many sun creams in the past, I didn’t really believe it when I read that a sun cream was “mattifying” but I was actually so impressed with the The Dry Touch face! It did exactly what it said on the bottle and absorbed almost immediatly . The BB Face cream gave my skin such a radiant glow that even boyfriend noticed! And finally the Sensitive Face Cream was so light and calming on the face and none of the creams we sticky or didn’t go into bits, which I have had a problem with it the past with other sun creams.

I was really happy with the Soltan range and I think I may have found my new favourite sun cream! I wouldn’t change a thing about them and I will be buying all three as soon as these run out.
