Adele fans, get ready to be very excited indeed.

After insisting she simply wasn't bothered touring her latest album, 25, the singer has revealed she was only having us on.

She will in fact be kicking off a European tour in March 2016, and luckily for us there are not one but FOUR Irish dates scheduled.

Adele will perform at Dublin's 3Arena on March 4 and 5, as well as two gigs at Belfast's SSE Arena on February 29 and March 1. Yes, we did say February 29… it's a leap year folks.

Tickets for the tour – which also includes dates in the UK, Germany, Spain, Portugal and France among others – go on sale at 9am sharp on Friday December 4. 

However members of Adele.com will be eligible for an advance sale next week, so sign up now. Details of the sale will be emailed on Sunday November 29.

The singer revealed the news this afternoon via a video on her personal Twitter and Facebook pages:

Worth a watch just to see her cracking up when she realises she can't say "Hello it's me" with a straight face anymore.
