Chris Pratt has opened up to Extra about his nerves when it came to approaching The Terminator for his blessing to marry his daughter, Katherine.

The 39-year-old admitted he was 'a little nervous', but was determined to go things the traditional way.

The Jurassic Park actor spoke about his appreciation for the conventional method of engagement and marriage;

"Well, I think any person who appreciates the tradition and asks a father for his daughter’s hand in marriage, it’s inevitably something that’s going to make you a little nervous. ‘But that’s sort of the beauty of it."

Luckily for Chris, Arnold already thinks he's 'fantastic', and sang his praises last week.

"That was really fantastic. She is so happy, they both are so happy. As I said to him, he is such a likable guy. I love Chris — he’s fantastic." He added: "Chris is a wonderful guy. They both look really great together, they’re both happy together, so I wish them both the best of luck.’"

Chris announced their engagement at the beginning of 2019, saying he was 'so happy' that his future wife said yes.

Speaking to US Weekly about the ceremony, the actor shared: "A little, you know, maybe fall, winter kind of thing and you know, we’ve got a lot to get done."

He was previously married to actress Anna Faris, but they officially divorced in 2018. He has been with Katherine Schwarzenegger for a few months, and the pair are clearly in love.

Anna Faris has been praised for her classy response to ex-husband Chris Pratt’s engagement news. The Jurassic World actor confirmed he had proposed to his girlfriend of seven-months Katherine Schwarzenegger earlier this week in a touching Instagram post.

The actor posted a beautiful photo of him and his fiancée, who was sporting a diamond ring on her wedding finger.

What’s Your Number star Anna has now shared how her ex-husband told her about the news. Speaking on her podcast Anna Faris Is Unqualified she said Chris texted her the morning after he popped the question.

The Overboard actress said: “Chris texted me this morning and he was like, you know, ‘I proposed to Katherine last night,’” she said. “I was like ‘Ah! That’s amazing’.”

She gushed about Chris and Katherine: "I love her, and I love him, and I'm just so happy that they found each other."

Anna’s response to the Guardians of the Galaxy star’s news is beyond perfect.

She confessed: “And I texted him back: ‘Just want to remind you, I’m an ordained minister’.”

Who knows, maybe Anna will officiate Chris and Katherine’s wedding ceremony in the coming months.

We love how there is no bad blood between Chris and Anna. The pair were married for eight years before going their seperate ways in 2017. They have one child together-six-year-old son Jack.

Anna is currently dating Michael Barrett.

Chris Pratt announced his engagement yesterday to girlfriend of seven months Katherine Schwarzenegger, and pretty much everyone was waiting to see Anna Faris' reaction.

Pratt and Faris only finalised their divorce three months ago following eight years of marriage.

The Jurassic World star shared the happy news yesterday morning with a photo of Katherine wearing a stunning diamond engagement ring, captioning the the adorable snap:

We were heartbroken when the couple, married for eight years, announced their split last year.

But it seems that both actors think this is the best decision for their family.

The pair have been amicable throughout their proceedings, suggesting they are on good terms following their separation.

Both Chris and Anna had signed a prenup prior to their marriage, so the details of the divorce have been fairly straight forward.

According to The Blast, the actors are each waiving their right to spousal support now and forever. They both agreed that neither party will have this responsibility.

Instead, they are keeping a joint bank account for their son Jack to cover his day to day expenses. Each of them will fund the account on a yearly basis.

This has been the first woman that we have seen Chris date since his divorce last year, and the two appear to be happy together.

Chris seems comfortable enough to bring his son on dates with Katherine, and it is sweet that the three of them enjoy spending time together.

We are disappointed that the actor is no longer single and ready to mingle, but we are glad that he has found a girl that makes him happy.

The Jurassic World star and his ex, Anna Faris, sadly announced their separation in August last year.

Ever since the split, the pair have emphasised their respect for one another and their desire to make their son, five-year-old Jack, feel loved in the wake of this huge change.

Now Anna has come out and addressed Chris' widely-reported 'Divorce sucks' comment, and again showed just how much love remains as the two start their co-parenting journey. At the same time, though, she said her ex's comment may have been a bit over-the-top.

“It feels like it's more dramatic than it is," the Overboard actress told Marie Claire, "Chris and I have a great friendship and Jack is so happy and so loved.”

Anna also discussed how being in the public spotlight has certainly not made their divorce any easier. An offhand phrase like 'Divorce sucks' makes headlines, but by now, she knows how to deal with this constant attention.

No sooner had the dust settled on the news of Anna Faris and Chris Pratt's separation, rumours began circulating that Chris' co-star, Jennifer Lawrence, played a role in the demise of the couple's ten-year relationship.

While those rumours were swiftly dismissed, news of Chris' decision to file for divorce on December 1 gave rise to further rumour that the 38-year-old actor had entered into a new relationship with Olivia Munn.

Not content to allow media outlets to benefit from industry rumour, Olivia decided to reach out to Anna, and subsequently shared the details of their exchange on her Twitter page in a move which has garnered considerable praise on social media.

In a passionate post written earlier today, 37-year-old Olivia sought to highlight the inaccuracy of the recent reports, writing: "Not every woman is scorned and upset after a break up."

"Not every woman is 'furious' at another woman for dating her ex," she continued. "Even if i was dating @prattprattpratt, some tabloids got me and @annakfaris all wrong."

"Women respect and love each other more than some people like to think," Olivia added, before sharing a screenshot of the conversation she had with Anna in the wake of the reports.

Contrary to the articles, the actresses appear to have nothing but mutual respect for each other, with Anna telling Olivia she loved her for reaching out.

"You are so sweet to text – I love you – having said that if you were my new sister in law I would be thrilled," Anna told Olivia after the latter confirmed she was not dating Chris.

The text has amassed almost 10,000 likes in mere hours, with one Twitter user writing: "This is just pure class."

"This is how we support each other: we reach out DIRECTLY. I get told I’m talked “about,” but being talked TO would have been much better," added another.

According to documents obtained by E News, the actor cited irreconcilable differences as the reason for their split.

Anna filed her response to the divorce at the same time as Chris, and her reasoning are reported to be the same as Chris', according to TMZ.

Both are seeking joint custody of their 5-year-old son Jack. 

Since announcing their split, the couple have been focused on co-parenting their young son.

'Anna and I are sad to announce we are legally separating,' Chris wrote in a previous Facebook statement.

It's rare that a high-profile Hollywood couple make the decision to part ways without the press and public making reference to the involvement of a third party.

And it was no different when Chris Pratt and Anna Faris decided to call time on their ten-year relationship in August.

Indeed, rumours began circulating that the reason for the couple's split was due to Chris's relationship with Passengers co-star Jennifer Lawrence – a narrative that understandably didn't sit well with The Hunger Games star.

In her memoir, Unqualified, Anna notes that Jennifer reached out to her, and expressed regret over the dialogue surrounding the professional relationship she shared with Anna's husband.

"Jennifer and I really are friendly, and she was apologetic even though she didn’t need to be, because she hadn’t done anything wrong," Anna reasons.

"She’s awesome, but of course it’s hurtful and also embarrassing when people are saying your husband is cheating on you, even if it’s patently untrue."

"You still feel, and look, like a fool," the actress added.

Interestingly, Anna admits that while she was warned of the potential rumours which would likely begin circulating once Chris and Jennifer began shooting, she felt she had no cause for concern.

"Even before they met in person, my publicist, out of the blue, pulled me aside and said, “Anna, listen, there are going to be paparazzi all over them."

"She said 'There are going to be shots of them laughing together on their way to set. There are going to be stories circulating, and you have to brace yourself for this.'”

"I didn’t think it would bother me. I’ve been in this business a while now and I had seen Chris star alongside other beautiful women, like Aubrey Plaza and Bryce Dallas Howard."

Anna, who is currently promoting her book, shares a five-year-old son with Chris.
